The assembly is easy and can be done in just a few steps. Additional struts ensure that the table does not wobble or flex and all devices remain securely. The Sound Desk Pro is extremely stable due to its X-shaped design. The cable recess at screen height makes it easy to place the Sound Desk Pro flush with the wall. An interior cable duct is also suitable for organising the power supply using multiple sockets and is accessible from both the front and rear. The construction offers many intelligent details, as well as plenty of ducts for cable routing on the top, inside and bottom of the Sound Desk Pro. It can be mounted onto the Sound Desk Pro in 4 different height positions. A pull-out drawer can accommodate keyboards up to 88 keys. ![]() A further compartment in the centre is suitable for stowing a laptop or audio interface. The two 3U rack slots behind it also allow 19'' devices such as compressors, equalizers or effects to be mounted. Thanks to the increased width and depth of the working space, there is plenty of room for your equipment. The design of the Sound Desk Pro allows you to produce on 3 levels at the same time. Lastly, we have a 34” ultrawide monitor on the top shelf which moves slightly the whole time one is working due to the instability of the desk (which is not due to an uneven floor!) OK, it is low priced but these stability issues are very annoying, hence the star rating. The studio table offers enough space to set up a laptop/computer, screen, studio monitors, audio interface, 19" rack-mount equipment, MIDI controllers, synths and a master keyboard. The positioning of the nuts in the channel is very fiddly as they slide up and down too easily. I had actually ordered packets of additional nuts & bolts but they are the standard design and useless for this desk. I imagine that one could buy 8 additional nuts and bolts but this is somewhat ridiculous cost cutting and is inconvenient for the user. Only 16 bolts are supplied and they are of a specific design so some units have to be supported with just two bolts instead of four. The two 19” rack spaces allow for 3 single units to be mounted on either side necessitating 4圆 bolts, so 24. When playing the keyboard, there is no way to lock the slide out position meaning that the keyboard can move backwards and forwards. We had to lower the shelf to the third setting which is slightly too low for comfortable playing. We tried three different 88 note keyboards on the recommended second height setting and due to the rear cross member behind the shelf, none of the keyboards could be closed underneath the main table. For the slide-out keyboard shelf, four heights are pre-drilled by the manufacturer for you to choose. ![]() When constructed, the unit appears to be fairly attractive but in use, it is somewhat flimsy. Several wooden dowels have to be glued into place meaning that any necessary disassembly and reassembly would be difficult as you would have to break the glued joints. ![]() It is a flatpack product which can be assembled in around an hour. For construction of a small second studio away from our main large studio, we selected this desk as low priced solution for our needs.
